Dr.
Struby completed his undergraduate study at Creighton
University where he played basketball and obtained
a bachelor’s degree in Medical Physics. Upon
graduating from college, he did osteoporosis research
at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
He later graduated from Creighton University’s
Dental school. In dental school, he was a member of
the Dean’s List and was awarded the C.C. Mabel
Criss Memorial Scholarship. He also received the Academy
of General Dentistry Dental Student of the Year Award.
While at Creighton, Dr. Struby was a part of the Institute
of Latin American Concern program. This opportunity
allowed him to spend two months in rural areas of
the Dominican Republic, providing dental care to Dominicans
who otherwise had no access to medical or dental treatments.
Dr. Struby and his wife Meagan, an orthodontist and
native Nevadan, moved to Reno from Wisconsin in 2006.
They have a son, Jake, and a daughter, Avery. In Wisconsin,
Dr. Struby practiced as an associate dentist in a
group practice, while his wife completed her orthodontic
training.
Dr. Struby enjoys golf, basketball, fishing and all
outdoor activities. He loves spending his free time
with his family and is excited to call Northern Nevada
home.
